Telfair District Owned Playgrounds Closed

In accordance with Fort Bend County’s “Stay Home to Save Lives Order,” Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District No. 17 has closed all of its playgrounds in the Telfair neighborhood.

Per the Fort Bend County Judge, this Order began on March 25, 2020 and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on April 3, 2020, unless otherwise amended. The District’s playground facilities will remain closed through the duration of the Order and any future amendments that may extend the Order.

Please do not access or play on any playground equipment during this time. Open spaces and trails will remain available for residential use, provided residents comply with social distancing of at least six (6) feet in accordance with the Order and CDC guidelines.

Section 4(A) Essential Activites

(iii) To engage in outdoor activity, (for example, walking, biking, hiking, or running). Individuals may go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas. However, playgrounds may increase spread of COVID-19, and therefore shall be closed.
