Weather Update

The NWS has upgraded the low pressure system off the coast to Tropical Storm Imelda. TS Imelda has made landfall over Brazoria County and is forecast to move northward across the Houston metropolitan region over the course of the next few days and will bring moderate wind and significant rainfall to the area.

Your LID 17 team will continue to monitor the situation and respond as necessary should any issues arise.

For your part, please be mindful of the situation and exercise caution if you encounter heavy rainfall or ponding on the streets. As we observed in the May 7th rainfall event some streets, such as portions of Telfair Avenue, Westcott, Meadowcroft or Chatham Avenue, are more susceptible to ponding. Please avoids those areas to minimize your risks.
