Brazos River Forecast Update – 12/11/18 @ 8AM

The National Weather Service has modified the Brazos River forecast, lowering the forecast peak to 41.6, below minor flood stage, but within action stage for the District. You will observe high water as you cross the Brazos on US 59 or backed up from the river into Ditch “H” along the east side of the District. Over the next week, as the river crests and recedes, we expect to receive minimal rainfall. With the river up, we will have to use the pumps to remove the accumulated rain.

The LID 17 team will continue to monitor the river and weather forecasts to maintain preparedness for situations that may arise and potentially impact our community.
